Women Development Center (WDC) is operational in Johar Block by Directorate of Women Development, Govt of Punjab since March 2022. This center provides the female students, staff and alumni the awareness of women protection laws and women mental & physical health workshops, session for their career development, entrepreneurship, online educational facilities, capacity building workshops and training sessions with the help of potential volunteers as resource persons including the Chamber of commerce women wing Sargodha, various National and International organization. Since March 2022, WDC-UOS has organized more than 100 sessions, seminars, workshops and colloquium with the support of eminent speakers, scholars, civil officers, experts from various pertinent fields, who shared their expertise, knowledge and insights and developed the capacities of the students of this university, and employees as well. This center, WDC, aims to set a benchmark in its domain with full zeal and zest by training the maximum number of women in a conducive learning environment to increase their economic and social empowerment thus contributing in the development and harmony in the Pakistan. The University of Sargodha and Government of Punjab desired to strengthen their relation by establishing the Women Development Centre (WDC-UOS). Women Development center is rendering the services for women carrier development, entrepreneurship, online educational facilities, capacity building for further plans, and their overall development & well-being of female students, alumni, teaching and non-teaching staff in the premises of UOS on co-finance basis.
