The inception of the Career Development Center (CDC) within Sargodha University, orchestrated by the Punjab Government under the umbrella of the Gender Reform Action Plan in June 2012, marked a pivotal milestone. Considering the importance of personality, soft and hard skills development among the students, Sargodha University established its multipurpose CDC in 2019, a well distinguished center among public sector universities in Pakistan. Serving as a leading promoter for career progression, the CDC is proof of University's steadfast commitment to the holistic development of its students. The center's primary goal is to give graduates and students unparalleled opportunities for deep personal and professional grooming. This is accomplished through a variety of approaches, from participatory classes to critical thinking-focused seminars that end with the creation of self-help skillful force who is ready to grab leading employability opportunities.

In order to accomplish our goals and objectives, we provide following services.
Empowering youth through 21st-century academic and professional skills.
We arrange the Skill Development Program for the enhancement of the soft skills of the students. Focussing on the skills of the 21st century, interactive sessions are arranged by inviting professional mentors. The skill development program is fruitful to prepare our students to cope up with the increasing pace and changes in the professional world.
To provide hands-on experience to our students, University has initiated paid On Campus Internship Program in which the learning opportunity along with the professional grooming is provided to the interns under the guideline of highly skilled supervisors in various departments of the University.
Career Development Center provides opportunities to the students by inculcating digital literacy skills through digital technologies. Through interactive sessions with experts, students develop proficiency in using software such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite. In the digital era, students should be globally connected to explore the world of opportunities and excel in their professional life.
Masooma holds a distinguished academic background, having her MPhil Degree in
Mass Communication from Sargodha University. Prior to this, she completed a Master's Degree in Mass Communication from
Punjab University, Lahore, supplemented by an additional Master's Degree in Political Science from Sargodha University.
Her academic achievements feature a commitment to scholarly excellence.
Over her nearly thirteen-year tenure at Sargodha University, Ms. Masooma has demonstrated remarkable commitment and exceptional
dedication in various capacities. Her roles have been diverse, encompassing Hostel Management and Career Development Office, where
she has continuously shown her managerial and leadership abilities.
