Workshop on Mental Wellbeing and Academic Performance Enhancement of Gender

The Women Development Centre, University of Sargodha, successfully organized a workshop on "Mental Wellbeing and Academic Performance Enhancement of Gender" on March 6, 2024. The session was facilitated by Dr. Noor ul Zaman Rafiq, CEO, Phoenix Foundation for Research & Development, and was attended by 29 students and faculty members.

The workshop focused on exploring the relationship between mental wellbeing, academic performance, and gender dynamics. Participants were introduced to the importance of mental health in achieving academic success and the need to recognize and address the unique challenges experienced by individuals across different gender identities.

During the session, Dr. Noor ul Zaman Rafiq shared expert insights on fostering resilience, managing academic stress, and creating inclusive learning environments that support the wellbeing of all students. The discussion also emphasized the importance of reducing the stigma associated with mental health issues and promoting open dialogue within educational institutions.

Through interactive activities and collaborative discussions, participants gained practical strategies for enhancing mental wellbeing, improving academic performance, and contributing to a supportive and gender-sensitive academic culture. The workshop encouraged participants to recognize the value of mental health as a foundation for personal growth, educational achievement, and social development.

The event concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, providing participants with an opportunity to reflect on the topics discussed and share their perspectives. The workshop reaffirmed the University of Sargodha’s commitment to promoting mental health awareness, gender inclusivity, and student wellbeing through educational and capacity-building initiatives.
