Pakistan: University of Sargodha Launches Digital Skills Workshop to Prepare Students for the AI Era

SARGODHA, Pakistan — April 28, 2026: The Women Development Center at the University of Sargodha is set to organize a training workshop titled "Digital Skills for Career Success: Essential IT Skills for Students", aimed at equipping students with practical digital competencies for academic and professional success.

The 90-minute session will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Women Development Centre (WDC), University of Sargodha, and is open to all students. According to the event announcement, seating will be limited. 

The workshop will be led by Ms. Samreen Razzaq, Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science. Participants will receive training in full-stack web development, Android application development, database management, computational thinking, AI-powered productivity tools, and freelancing skills.

Organizers say the initiative is designed to help students strengthen their digital literacy and improve employability by introducing them to emerging technologies and practical career skills. The program will also explore the growing role of artificial intelligence in education and workplace productivity.

The event is being organized by the Women Development Center, University of Sargodha, in collaboration with the Women Development Department, Government of Punjab, as part of ongoing efforts to promote digital empowerment and career readiness among university students.

Experts note that digital and AI-related skills are becoming increasingly important worldwide, with universities expanding training opportunities to prepare graduates for rapidly changing job markets.
