SARGODHA, Pakistan – November 18, 2025: The Women Development Centre at the University of Sargodha, in collaboration with the Circle Women Association, organized a one-day training session on “Digital Literacy and Women Entrepreneurship” aimed at equipping women with essential digital skills and entrepreneurial knowledge to succeed in the modern economy.

The training, held at the Women Development Centre, Jauhar Block, brought together participants interested in enhancing their understanding of digital technologies and exploring opportunities for business development in an increasingly digital world.

The session was facilitated by Nabila Yaqoob, a representative of the Circle Women Association and an advocate for women’s empowerment and community development. During the training, participants were introduced to key concepts of digital literacy, online communication, digital tools for business management, and strategies for utilizing technology to establish and expand entrepreneurial ventures.

The workshop highlighted the growing importance of digital competencies in today's workforce and emphasized how women entrepreneurs can leverage online platforms, social media, and e-commerce opportunities to strengthen their economic participation and financial independence.

Organizers noted that empowering women through digital education is essential for promoting inclusive economic growth and reducing barriers that often limit women's access to entrepreneurial opportunities. The training also provided participants with a platform to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build networks that can support future business initiatives.

Speaking about the significance of the initiative, organizers stressed that digital literacy has become a fundamental skill in the twenty-first century, enabling women to access information, develop innovative enterprises, and contribute more effectively to their communities and the national economy.

The event reflects the University of Sargodha’s continued commitment to advancing gender equality, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating opportunities for women through education, skills development, and community engagement.
