SARGODHA, Pakistan – November 17, 2025: The Women Development Centre (WDC) at the University of Sargodha, in collaboration with the Directorate of Women Development Punjab, organized a one-day capacity-building workshop titled “Art of Presentation” to enhance participants’ communication and public speaking skills.

Held at the Women Development Centre, Jauhar Block, the workshop brought together students and aspiring professionals eager to strengthen their presentation abilities and improve their confidence in academic and professional settings.

The session was conducted by Ms. Afshan Jabeen, who served as the resource person for the training. Drawing on her expertise in communication and professional development, she guided participants through key aspects of effective presentations, including structuring impactful content, engaging audiences, using body language effectively, and delivering messages with clarity and confidence.

Throughout the interactive workshop, participants explored practical techniques for overcoming stage fright, improving verbal and non-verbal communication, and developing persuasive presentation styles. Real-life examples and hands-on exercises enabled attendees to apply newly acquired skills in a supportive learning environment.

Speaking on the importance of presentation skills, the facilitator emphasized that effective communication is a critical competency in education, leadership, and the workplace. She encouraged participants to view presentations as opportunities to inspire, inform, and influence audiences through clear and confident delivery.

Organizers noted that the workshop forms part of the University of Sargodha’s ongoing efforts to empower students, particularly women, with essential professional and leadership skills that enhance employability and personal development. The initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to fostering confidence, communication excellence, and lifelong learning among young people.

Participants expressed appreciation for the practical nature of the training and highlighted the value of learning techniques that can be applied in academic presentations, job interviews, workplace meetings, and community engagement activities.

The workshop concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where participants shared their experiences and discussed strategies for continuing to develop their presentation and public speaking skills.
