The University of Sargodha Organized an “AI/ML Internship Drive 2026” in collaboration with technology company LimeoX to connect students with emerging opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Held at the MFKNBS Auditorium on Tuesday, the event was organized by the university’s Placement Office and attended by students, faculty members and industry experts.

The program featured a seminar titled “What It Takes to Build Institutional-Scale AI Systems”, focusing on practical knowledge and industry trends in the rapidly expanding AI sector.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qaisar Abbas, addressing the participants, said generative AI and digital skills were becoming essential for the future workforce. He urged students to equip themselves with technological and innovation-driven competencies to meet the demands of the global digital economy.

LimeoX Chief Executive Officer Rao Talha Ibrahim delivered a detailed session on the development of large-scale AI systems and highlighted career prospects, industry expectations and real-world applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

He also appreciated the university’s efforts to strengthen industry-academia linkages and provide practical learning opportunities to students.

The event was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Masood Sarwar Awan, ORIC Director Dr Ahmad Raza Bilal, faculty members and students from various departments.

The internship drive concluded with networking and student registration for internship opportunities in AI and Machine Learning fields.
