UoS and Ahad International Pharmaceuticals Agreed to Establish a Joint pharmaceutical company

The University of Sargodha has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Ahad International Pharmaceuticals Limited to establish a pharmaceutical company aimed at the development, manufacturing, and distribution of quality pharmaceutical products through public-private collaboration.
The agreement follows formal approval by the University's Syndicate and the Finance and Planning Committee (F&PC).
The agreement was signed during a special meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas. Senior university officials and representatives of Ahad International Pharmaceuticals were present on the occasion.
Under the agreement, a joint venture company will be formed in compliance with the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) Act, 2012, and the Drugs Act, 1976. The company will focus on enhancing public health research and promoting pharmaceutical commercialization.
The shareholding structure of the new company will comprise 51% ownership by the University of Sargodha and 49% by Ahad International Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a SECP-registered entity under the Companies Act, 2017.
