Director Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (Sargodha Division), Lt. Col. (R) Jawad Masood, met Pro Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, to discuss measures for strengthening anti-drug efforts among youth.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized raising awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and promoting a drug-free, safe and healthy campus environment.
Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan said the university committed to maintaining a drug-free campus, implementing a strict no-smoking policy, and organizing seminars and awareness sessions to educate students. He stressed that universities must play a proactive role in guiding youth through positive engagement, counseling, and healthy activities to prevent drug abuse.
Lt. Col. (R) Jawad Masood appreciated the university’s initiatives and reaffirmed that the Counter Narcotics Force would continue to collaborate with educational institutions to expand anti-drug campaigns. He highlighted the importance of joint awareness drives and training sessions to effectively engage students.
Both sides agreed to enhance institutional collaboration to protect young people from drug abuse and promote a healthier academic environment.
