UoS Mehfil-e-Milad Highlights Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Teachings of Peace and Harmony

The Riaz Shad Co-Curricular Forum University of Sargodha organized a Mehfil-e-Milad-Mustafa (Peace Be Upon Him) to mark Rahmatul-lil-Alameen Ashra.


The Mehfil was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Director Riaz Shad Co-Curricular Forum Dr. Muhammad Munir, Controller of Examinations Dr. Rehna Ilyas, faculty, students, and administrators in large numbers.


Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas said that the noble teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) centered on peace, harmony, justice, and human dignity.


He emphasized that Islam upholds equality, rejecting distinctions of race, color, or language, and urged students to embody respect, tolerance, and cooperation in their lives as a true reflection of the Prophet’s (PBUH) message.


Renowned scholar Prof. Dr. Feroz-ud-Din Shah highlighted that the blessed life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) serves as a complete code of conduct for humanity.

 

He advised students to seek knowledge with responsibility and to verify information before sharing it, warning that unchecked content on social media fuels division and unrest, which contradicts the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings of unity and truthfulness.


The ceremony concluded with the distribution of cash prizes and certificates to winners of naat, qiraat, and speech competitions held under the Rahmatul-lil-Alameen Ashra celebrations. According to the results announced by the Judges in Qirat Muhammad Zain-ul-Aabdeen secured first, Muhammad Farhan Ali Second and Shahzaib Akram got third position. In Naat contest Noor-ul-Ain Secured First, Muhammad Akram Secon and Ahmad Raza got third position.
