The Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) at the University of Sargodha (UoS) has launched the second phase of training for administrative officers, including assistant registrars, deputy registrars of teaching departments, and BS-17 officers working in different administrative offices.
The inaugural session of the training workshop was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas. In his address, he emphasized the importance of continuous professional development, stating that capacity-building initiatives are essential for strengthening the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative structures in universities. He noted that well-trained officers play a key role in ensuring smooth academic and administrative coordination.
Key speakers shared their expertise on crucial aspects of communication, leadership, and coordination in higher education institutions.
In the first session, Mr. Amjad Hussain Janjua, Director HRDC, delivered a talk on “Developing Interpersonal Communication for Personal and Professional Success”. He highlighted the role of effective communication in workplace harmony, teamwork, and organizational growth.
The second session was led by Dr. Uzma Shahzadi, Director Academics, who spoke on “Effective Educational Leadership in Higher Education”. She underlined the importance of visionary leadership, decision-making, and innovation in improving institutional performance and fostering a culture of excellence.
The training program is designed to enhance the professional capacity of officers and to equip them with modern skills in communication, leadership, and coordination. The sessions will continue with a series of interactive workshops and expert-led discussions in the coming weeks.
