The University of Sargodha (UoS) organized a one-day seminar titled “The Japanese Way: Performance, Purpose and Precision” in collaboration with Japanese company Idemitsu, along with an award distribution ceremony for top performing departments of the University Sports Gala 2024–25. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas attended the event as chief guest, while Idemitsu’s Senior Advisor in Pakistan Mr. Sato Shun was the guest of honor.

Addressing the seminar, the Vice Chancellor said discipline, punctuality, and commitment are key drivers of progress in developed nations, citing Japan as a leading example. He noted that UoS has maintained a strong sports culture for over two decades and appreciated Director Sports Mehr Ahmed Khan Hurral and his team for successfully promoting sports activities. He also highlighted the need for a modern indoor gymnasium at the university and sought corporate cooperation for its establishment. Mr. Sato Shun appreciated the university’s academic and sports infrastructure and termed Pakistan a country with strong business potential. At the end of the ceremony, trophies and awards were distributed among departments and outstanding players of the Sports Gala. Deans, directors, faculty members, students, and representatives from Idemitsu and the business community attended the event.
