The University of Sargodha has signed intent of cooperation's (IOCs) with four prominent Universities of Bangladesh to foster collaboration in various academic and research areas and enhance cultural understanding between the two countries.
The IOCs were signed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas with the Vice Chancellors of partnering institutes, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ali Azadi of International Islamic University Chiltagong, Prof. Dr. Qumrul Ahsan of University of Asia Pacific, Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman of Daffodil International University and Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chawdhury of North South University Bangladesh.
These strategic collaborations are designed to facilitate a wide range of initiatives, including student exchange programs for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, joint research initiatives that address regional and global challenges, and faculty mobility for teaching, research, and professional development. The cooperation also extends to the co-creation of educational and scientific programs in the field of science, technology and innovation, as well as the joint organization of national and international events such as workshops, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and training courses.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas highlighted the importance of such partnerships in the modern academic landscape. He noted that these collaborations will create valuable opportunities for joint research, academic development, and cross-cultural exchange. "Such strategic initiatives not only enhance institutional capacity but also contribute meaningfully to the global knowledge economy" he stated.

These agreements were facilitated by COMSTECH, the OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General of OIC-COMSTECH, and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Raza Bilal, Director ORIC, University of Sargodha.
