University of Sargodha Hosts Workshop on Mastering NVivo for Qualitative Research

A one-day training workshop titled "Qualitative Research and Data Analysis: Mastering NVivo for Researchers" was conducted at the Wazir Agha Library, University of Sargodha.
The workshop aimed to equip participants with theoretical and practical skills in qualitative research, with a focus on utilizing NVivo software for literature reviews, data analysis, and report writing.
The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Murtaza Ashiq from the University of Punjab, who has authored over 50 impact factor publications utilizing NVivo. Dr. Asif Naveed Chief Librarian, along with more than thirty-five faculty members and graduate students participated in the workshop.
The sessions provided in-depth training on key techniques such as coding, thematic analysis, discourse analysis and content analysis. Additionally, participants were trained in the effective use of NVivo software features such as node creation, classification management, data visualization through charts and models, and the application of advanced query functions to derive meaningful insights from qualitative data.
Dr. Asif  Naveed highlighted that library's infrastructure, information resources, and services, particularly the research support program designed to assist research students and faculty. The workshop effectively augmented this initiative by providing capacity-building opportunities in qualitative research methodologies, leveraging the advanced features of NVivo software to enhance research productivity and excellence.
