The University of Sargodha holds a Palestine Solidarity Walk

Sargodha, October 7, 2024. To support Palestinians and to condemn the brutal actions of Israel the University of Sargodha held a solidarity walk, organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs and Office of Event Management.
The walk was led by Pro Vice-Chancellor UoS; Prof. Dr. M. Ghulam Yasin which started from Fountain Chowk and concluded at Library Chowk, participants waved Palestinian flags and held banners, raising their voices against the ongoing Israeli atrocities.
While addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Ghulam Yasin said that the violence against Palestinians is unacceptable. As educators and students, it is our responsibility to stand up for justice and peace.  He further stated that through education, we can create awareness and teach the values of humanity and respect and this walk shows our unity with the people of Palestine.
Prof. Dr. Feroz Ud Din Shah said that we cannot stay silent when innocent lives are being lost. Education plays a key role in raising awareness. He also said that we stand with Palestine, and we will continue to support them until peace is achieved. We must remain steadfast in supporting the oppressed and voicing against injustice, he concluded.
Registrar Waqar Ahmad, Additional Registrar Syed Nasir Abbas Bukhari, Director of Student Affairs Dr. Mahmood-Ul-Hassan, Manager Event Management Dr. Muhammad Munir, Prof. Dr. Feroz Uddin Shah, faculty, staff and a large number of students attended the solidarity walk.
