Taqmeel-e-Quran Ceremony Held at University of Sargodha

The University of Sargodha organized a Khatam-e-Quran ceremony at campus mosque Jamia Abid, highlighting the significance of Quranic teachings and their role in promoting peace, harmony, and guidance for humanity.

On the occasion, Renowned Islamic Scholar and Chairman Department of Islamic Studies, Prof. Dr. Feroz ud Din Shah, highlighted that Allah Almighty has bestowed countless blessings upon humanity, among which the prophethood of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the revelation of the Holy Quran are the greatest. He noted that the Quran is the most widely read book in the world and the only divine scripture that has remained unchanged, as its preservation has been divinely guaranteed.

Prof. Dr. Feroz ud Din Shah further stated that in the contemporary era, Islam faces negative propaganda, which can only be effectively countered through knowledge and research. He emphasized that Muslims must go beyond mere recitation of the Quran and strive to understand its true meaning, interpretation, and message, and convey it to the world. He added that the true message of Islam promotes peace, harmony, and brotherhood.

Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor UoS, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas emphasized that the Holy Quran is a comprehensive source of guidance for all humanity, offering solutions to every aspect of life. He stated that those who reflect upon its teachings achieve success not only in this world but also in the hereafter.

Vice Chancellor extended his best wishes to the organizers and participants on the observance of Taraweeh and commended the administration of Jamia Abid for their excellent arrangements. He also met with children and students pursuing Quranic education at Jamia Abid and appreciated their dedication and efforts.

The event was attended by District and Sessions Judge Raja Qamar Sultan, Dean Faculty of Computing and Information Technology Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Resident Officer Dr. Faheem Arshad, heads of various departments, faculty members, and a large number of students.
