Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ather Nadeem, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sargodha (UoS), participated in Asian Productivity Organization (APO) training program as a representative of Pakistan.
He presented the country paper and briefed about knowledge transfer systems in Pakistan. He also described the role of University of Sargodha in uplifting agricultural productivity through problem-oriented research and outreach activities.
Furthermore, he emphasized the use of ICT and smart Agricultural approaches for improving knowledge transfer and Agricultural productivity in the country. Mr. Muhammad Asif, Joint Secretary Ministry of Industries Pakistan also participated in the training program.
The training program ‘’Knowledge transfer to improve agricultural productivity’’ organized by Asian Productivity Organization (APO) in Dhaka, Bangladesh aimed to utilize the latest technologies for knowledge transfer to the farmers and enhancing agricultural practices and productivity in the region.
The delegates from 19 different countries participated in the training course including Mr. Toshi Mitsunaga, APO Japan, Dr. Koichi Fukuda from Japan, Dr. M.R. Ramasubramaniy from India, and Dr. Sheikh Tanveer Hossain from Korea.
The keynote speakers trained the participants with the knowledge and skills needed to boost productivity sustainably in Asian Countries and commended the University of Sargodha (UoS) for its noteworthy contribution, which served as a prominent success story during the training program.
During the closing ceremony, Ms. Zakia Sultana, Secretary of Industries Bangladesh distributed the certificates to the participants.
