MOU
The University of Sargodha (UoS) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote the implementation of joint educational and scientific programs on Wednesday.
The agreement of Mutual Corporation was signed by Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, and Coordinator General COMSTECH, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhary.
The MoU represents a significant step toward strengthening international collaboration in the field of science, technology, and innovation.
As part of this MoU, COMSTECH, and UoS will jointly conduct workshops, seminars, and science and technology (S&T) project training programs to enhance the technical and research capabilities of professionals in scientific and technological fields.
University of Sargodha (UoS) will be provided Associate Membership in the COMSTECH Consortium of Excellence (CCoE) and the COMSTECH Distinguished Scholars Program where international scholars will contribute to the science and technology research.
Under the MoU, COMSTECH will create a platform to provide training and consultation for the establishment of a Science Park at the University of Sargodha. Furthermore, a program will be developed to enable young researchers and students from OIC Member Countries to visit the University of Sargodha to conduct research for 6-12 months duration under the supervision of faculty members from the UoS in different disciplines.
Addressing the occasion, Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas assured full mutual cooperation with the COMSTECH agreement, he said the university is dedicated to promoting research and scientific knowledge-sharing with international collaboration.
He also highlighted that promoting and facilitating student exchange plays a crucial role in promoting the university's academic development through internationalization.
