International Conference on Sustainable Business Development Held at UoS

Malik Firoz Khan Noon Business School, University of Sargodha (UoS) organized the 3rd International Conference on Sustainable Business Development (ICSB-2025) under its flagship Research Arena 2025.

The conference featured the presentation of more than 100 research papers covering key contemporary themes, including climate change, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, data science, and SME entrepreneurship.

Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat, Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, graced the occasion as Chief Guest along with Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, and Pro Vice Chancellor UoS, Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan. Distinguished guests of honour included Vice Chancellor University of Kamalia Prof. Dr. Yasir Nawab, and Vice Chancellor GC University Lahore Prof. Dr. M. Omer Chaudhry.

Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq praised the remarkable transformation the University of Sargodha had undergone over the last three to four years. He highlighted the need for critical reflection on the factors hindering national progress and urged academic institutions to play a proactive role in addressing these challenges through innovation and entrepreneurship.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas highlighted UoS’s strong focus on fostering a culture of research and innovation. He shared that the university had published more than 1,250 research papers in a single year and had submitted 64 patents over the past two years.

He further noted that our goal is to produce skilled, ethical, and innovative graduates capable of contributing meaningfully to national development and the global knowledge economy.

Director MFKNBS, Prof. Dr. Irfan Shahzad underscored the importance of sustainable business models in addressing global environmental and economic challenges.

Prof. Dr. Omar Chaudhry and Prof. Dr. Yasir Nawab also addressed the conference emphasizing the need for integrating technology, innovation and entrepreneurship to ensure long-term economic resilience and responsible growth.
