SARGODHA, August 23, 2026: Henan Normal University (HNU) China welcomed the delegation of the University of Sargodha (UoS) at the opening ceremony of the Cultural Exchange Summer Camp 2026 for Pakistani University Students, held at the Qinzheng Building, HNU.
The ceremony was held under the title of “Meeting Henan: An Experience Journey to Learn Chinese Language and Culture.”
The opening ceremony was attended by Zhao Yang, Dean, School of International Education, HNU; Chen Yunxiang, Chinese Director, Confucius Institute at UoS; Ma Shuming, Deputy Director, Publicity Office of the CPC HNU Committee; Wang Li, Deputy Director, Office of International Programs, HNU; and Zhang Changhui, Deputy Dean, School of International Education, HNU, Prof. Dr. Tahir Mumtaz Awan, Director, Pakistan Institute of China Studies (PICS) and Host Director, Confucius Institute, UoS; Hassan Raza Hashmi, Deputy Director, Multimedia Development Center, UoS;  along with staff, volunteers and participating students.
Zhao Yang delivered a welcome address on behalf of Henan Normal University, while Wang Li briefed the participants on the camp's schedule and arrangements. Zhang Changhui introduced important guidelines and safety precautions for the students during their stay at HNU. Prof. Dr. Tahir Mumtaz Awan addressed the ceremony on behalf of the Pakistani delegation, followed by remarks from a UoS student representative, Ms Mahnoor. 
The ceremony also featured an exchange of culturally significant souvenirs between representatives of HNU and UoS, while Ma Shuming presented the summer camp flag to the participants' representative. The ceremony concluded with a group photograph, marking the beginning of an enriching cultural and educational exchange between Pakistani and Chinese youth.
