The 75th meeting of the Syndicate of the University of Sargodha was held on July 4, 2026, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Chairperson, Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, former Vice Chancellor and nominee of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor, Government College University Lahore, Mansoor Azam Sindhu, MPA, Ms. Zahida Azhar, Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department, Mr. Shahid Imtiaz, Additional Director, Law Department, Ms. Zubda Mubasher, Additional Finance Secretary, Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Pro Vice Chancellor, along with other Syndicate members.
The Syndicate approved several key financial and administrative measures, including the annual budget of Rs. 6 billion for the fiscal year 2026–27. It also approved an increase in examination duty remuneration, enhanced daily allowances for students participating in co-curricular activities, the nomination of professors as members of the Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB), and the adoption of a policy framework for daily wagers and work-charge employees to grant eligible staff the status of permanent workmen.
The members appreciated the leadership of Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas for streamlining the University's administrative, financial, and academic affairs. In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor thanked the Syndicate members for their valuable guidance and contributions, emphasizing that their collective decisions would further strengthen the University's academic excellence, governance, and institutional development.
