Faculty and staff receive second batch of laptops

A laptop distribution ceremony for teaching and administrative staff was held on February 1, 2017 at the Pharmacy Hall of University of Sargodha.

Vice Chancellor Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad was chief guest on the occasion. He congratulated the recipients of laptops, including members of both the faculty and the administration.  

Several members of the faculty and administration received laptops, with 70 percent constituting the teachers and 30 percent representing the staff.

This was the second such ceremony, in which, besides the Vice Chancellor, Dean Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences (FSBS) Dr Mian Ghulan Yasin shared thoughts on the importance of equipping university staff with key technological tool of the digital age.

The Vice Chancellor hoped the recipients would make responsible and proficient use of these laptops, and become part of his progressive agenda of reforming academic programs and administrative processes in the days ahead.

The Dean FSBS underlined that computers were essential to enhance the work efficacy of large organizations such as UOS, especially in terms of promoting faculty research and improving administrative output.
