VC Eagles contesting cricket championship of Cantonment Board Sargodha from April 10


The official cricket team of University of Sargodha, comprising of officials and faculty members, will play in a cricket championship organized by the Cantonment Board Sargodha. The tournament will be held from April 10-18 in the Sargodha cricket stadium adjacent to the main campus. In the championship, VC Eleven will play with the name, VC-Eagles, as 21 teams will be vying for the trophies and awards.

The opening ceremony will be held at 6 pm on April 10. The Vice Chancellor, Deputy Commissioner and District Police Officer and legendary players of Pakistan cricket team, including former captain Muhammad Hafeez, a UOS alumnus, will grace the opening ceremony.  

The fascinating feature of the tournament is the installation of a large screen to display live cricket contests in the stadium. Each day, gift hampers would be given away to the distinguished guests attending the championship. To motivate the exciting spectators, a mobile phone will be given to the one who catches the ball outside the boundary line.

The tournament would end on 18 April, with the distribution of awards, trophies and cash prizes worth thousands of rupees to the runner up team and winner of the tournament.
